Dixon Reservoir also known as Dixon Lake is a reservoir located in the north of Escondido, California.[1] It has been regularly noted to produce the largest kind of Largemouth bass in the world.[2]

Dixon Lake is considered a popular place for picnics, camping, and fishing.[3] The lake was granted an Aquaculture Permit by the State of California Department of Fish and Wildlife; fishing licenses are no longer required.[4] However, all anglers eight years and older need a daily lake fishing permit, available at the concession stand. The city stocks different types of fish throughout the year, including Bass, Bluegill, Carp, Catfish, Crappie, and Trout, Each year, the Trout Derby event is hosted at Dixon Lake.[5] It is near to Daley Ranch, and is a marina/launch.[6]
