Reid J. Novotny is a member of the Maryland House of Delegates. Novotny represents District 9A, which includes parts of Howard and Carroll counties. Novotny was appointed by Governor Larry Hogan on January 13, 2021 to replace Warren E. Miller, who resigned on December 30, 2020.[1][2] Novotny ran in the 2018 Republican primary for state Senate in the 9th district, losing to incumbent Gail H. Bates.[3]
