On 4 March 2012, his team set a remarkable record in the Nedbank Cup when they beat Powerlines FC 24-0, with Kekana scoring seven of the goals.[1] Hlompho is widely regarded as one of the best long range shooters in the world, notably netting against Samir Handanovic vs Will XI in 2019.
