Francisca "Fanny" Veronika Johanne Josephine Løvenskiold (7 February 1807- 19 March 1873) was a Norwegian court official.[1] She served as the overhoffmesterinne for Queen Josephine of Norway.
Life
Born Francisca Veronika Johanne Josephine von Seckendorf-Aberdar on February 26, 1827 as the daughter of baron Johan Carl August Max von Seckendorf-Aberdar and Magdalene von Hommer. She married Ernst Løvenskiold (1803–1867), son of Severin Løvenskiold and chief of the Norwegian state court under Oscar I.
In 1845, she was appointed principal lady-in-waiting to queen Josephine, who became queen of Norway the year prior. [2] During the Union of Sweden and Norway, the Royal family mainly stayed in Sweden, and the Norwegian court staff served during their visits in Norway: her Swedish equivalent Charlotta Skjöldebrand served the queen in Sweden. When queen Josephine visited Norway, Fanny Løvenskiold served with only two ladies-in-waiting (maids-of-honours), one of whom, Juliane Wedel Jarlsberg, succeed her in her office.
