Hart railway station served the village of Hart, County Durham, England, from 1839 to 1963 on the Hartlepool Dock and Railway.
History
The station opened as Crimdon on 1 May 1839 by the Hartlepool Dock and Railway. It opened earlier to goods. Its name was changed to Hart in October 1871. It closed to passengers on 28 July 1941 but reopened on 7 October 1946. Thereupon, its services were reduced to summer only until 6 October 1947 when Trains ran in the winter. Only Saturday and Sunday services were running from August 1950 until it finally closed on 31 August [1] It remained open to goods until September 1963.[2]
