Sajjad Gharibi (born 19 December 1991) is an Iranian internet celebrity, famous for highly edited pictures of himself, showing him as much more muscular than he is. He was born in Khozestan, Ahwaz, and lives in Busher.
Early life
Gharibi is an Iranian internet celebrity, who was born in Khozstan, Ahwaz and lives in Bushehr, Iran.[1][2] His nickname is "the Iranian Hulk" or "the Persian Hercules" because of his huge muscle mass.[1] He is 6 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 690 pounds.[1] He received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Azad University in Bushehr.[3] He has been offered roles in Iranian film and has accepted.[3] He is a famous social media figure with about half a million followers. He posts videos and pictures that have gained notoriety for being highly edited on Instagram.[1] He is also famous for being able to dumbbell curl 50kg in each hand.
Career
Gharibi has become an Internet phenomenon because of photos of his enormous physique.[4] These are widely known to be faked and highly edited.
UFC star Brian Ortega challenged Gharibi to appear in the MMA ring, and he accepted.[5] Ortega said he would smash “the Iranian Hulk” despite weighing about 240 pounds less than Gharibi.[5] Gharibi had already accepted a match against Britain's Martyn Ford, but the deal was cancelled.[5] Gharibi stated that he had agreed to fight Brazilian bodybuilder or “the Brazilian Hulk” Romario dos Santos Alves.[5] He mentioned in an Instagram post, "I’m finally accepting my first professional fight against a Brazilian fighter."[5] He will fight Martyn Ford at an event set up by the Polish MMA organization Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (KSW).[4]
He offered to participate in the fight against ISIS in Syria in 2016.[6] He said in a video, "I'm a defender of my country, first. I want to thank General Soleimani and all the soldiers who lost their lives in Syria. They are my heroes."[6]
