Frank Ellis (February 26, 1897 – February 23, 1969) was an American film actor. He appeared in more than 480 films between 1917 and 1954. He was born in Oklahoma and died in Los Angeles, California.

He twice appeared in uncredited roles in James Arness’s TV Western series Gunsmoke, twice playing a Townsman, first the 1962 S7E27’s “”Wagon Girls”; and again in 1963’a S9E8’s “Carter Caper”.
