Plectranthias gardineri is a species of fish in the family Serranidae occurring in the Western Indian Ocean.[1]
Size
This species reaches a length of 3.2 cm (1.3 in).[2]
Etymology
The fish is named in honor of British zoologist John Stanley Gardiner (1872–1946), who led an expedition to the Indian Ocean in 1905, during which the type specimen was collected.[3]
