Tetradesmus is a genus of green algae in the family Scenedesmaceae.[1]
History
The genus Tetradesmus was described by Gilbert Morgan Smith for Tetradesmus wisconsinensis. It was merged into the similar genus Scenedesmus until the 2000s, when Tetradesmus was raised to genus rank.[2]
