Nadya Toncheva (Template:Lang-bg; born 5 December 2005) is a Bulgarian chess Women International Master (WIM) (2022).

Chess career

Nadya Toncheva began playing chess at the age of seven. Since 2016 she is coached by Bulgarian Grandmaster Vladimir Dimitrov.

In 2022 Nadya Toncheva won silver medal in Bulgarian Women Individual Rapid Chess Championship.[1] In 2023 she won bronze medal in Bulgarian Women's Chess Championship. [2] In March 2023 in Petrovac, Budva she finished 9th in European Individual Chess Championship.[3]

In August 2023, in Baku Nadya Toncheva participated in single-elimination Women's Chess World Cup and lost in 1st round to Woman Grandmaster Deimantė Cornette.[4]

In 2021, she was awarded the FIDE Master (FM) title and received the FIDE Women International Master (WIM) title a year later.[5]
