Ewohimi is a town in Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria.[1][2] Ewohimi lies on the geographical coordinate of latitude 6°28′N 6°19′E / 6.467°N 6.317°E / 6.467; 6.317.[3] which has different quarters, with eguare primary school in the town

History

The name of the town is Ebhoikimi (meaning "a place/town of Ikimi") from the original name is Orikimi.[2] The town was founded by a man named Ikimi, an immigrant from the Benin Kingdom.

It has various infrastructural facilities, example: Ewohimi General Hospital at Okaigben, the head office and asphalt plant of Skaff Construction Company Nigeria Limited is in Ewohimi, the Ewohimi water project, three government secondary schools, private secondary schools, private health centres, hotels, guest house and some streets and major roads constructed with two side drainages.
