Leanne Morgan is an American standup comedian, actress, and author.[1] She released her first Netflix comedy special, Leanne Morgan: I'm Every Woman, in 2023.

Early life and education

Morgan grew up in Middle Tennessee in a farming family.[2] She attended the University of Tennessee and graduated with a degree in Child and Family Studies.[3]

Career

To stay busy after having her first baby, Morgan began working as a jewelry saleswoman.[2][4][5] While making door-to-door sales, she began talking about motherhood and making jokes with clients who related to her jokes and eventually began booking her for comedy gigs.[2][6]

Morgan's first comedy special on YouTube reached over 50 million views by 2023.[2] Her Netflix special, Leanne Morgan: I'm Every Woman, reached the top 10 comedy specials on the platform.[2][7]

She is managed by Levity Talent and represented by United Talent Agency.[8][9]

Actor

Morgan will appear in You’re Cordially Invited, a wedding comedy for Amazon Studio, alongside Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon.[10][11]

Morgan is writing a book titled What in the World? Observations about Motherhood, Marriage, and Middle Age From A Woman Who's Loved and Hated It All, which is set to be published in 2024.[12][13]

Personal life

Morgan is married to Chuck, whom she met at the University of Tennessee.[2][8] After getting married, they moved to Bean Station, where Chuck owned and operated a used mobile home business.[2] Morgan and her family later moved to San Antonio, Texas and then Knoxville, Tennessee.[2][8] She and her husband have three children and two grandchildren.[14][15]
