James Clear is an American writer, author of who wrote Atomic Habits.

Early life and education

Raised in Hamilton, Ohio, Clear received his degree in biomechanics from Denison University in 2008, where he also served as captain of the baseball team.[1][2]

Career

After graduating from Denison, Clear started his career as a performance coach for athletes and executives.[2][3] He then ventured into writing and public speaking. In 2012 he first began writing about self-improvement. His debut book, Atomic Habits, has sold over 15 million copies worldwide in multiple languages. His work has also been highlighted in The New York Times, Forbes, and Time.[3]
