Kundagannada or Kundapra Kannada or Kundapura Kannada or more commonly known as Kundapra bhasi is a dialect of Old Kannada[1] spoken by the ethno-cultural Tuluvas and Kannadigas in Kundapura, Byndoor, Brahmavar and Hebri taluks of Udupi district. As mentioned before, it preserves many features of Old Kannada which are lost in other Kannada dialects.[2] This is the reason why even native Kannadigas of other regions find it difficult to comprehend.
