Buni (Urdu: بونی; also spelled Booni) is a town and the headquarters of Upper Chitral District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
Demography
The residents of Buni are Khos, and they speak Khowar which is spoken and understood throughout Chitral valley. Urdu, the national language of Pakistan, is also spoken and understood. The population of Buni is comprised of Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims and Suni Muslims.
Tourist Spots in Buni
The headquarter of Upper Chitral Buni is considered as one of the most beautiful village in the north. The people of Buni are so kind and welcoming! Some mesmerizing spots which have never failed to get the attention of tourists are Qaqlasht Meadow, Shuphisun Meadow, Chirk Junali, Ajarasun, Ishperdero Tek and Buni Gol. Buni Lasht is considered as the heart of Buni because all the main offices, Hospital, Hotels, Guest Houses and Markets are located here. (Khwaja_Tanveer)
