Miss Grand Democratic Republic of the Congo (Template:Lang-fr) is a national beauty pageant title awarded to Congolese representatives who were elected to partake in the Miss Grand International pageant.[1][2][3][4] The title was first mentioned in 2014 when a Manchester-based Congolese model, Naise Gumanda, was named the RDC representative for Miss Grand International 2014,[5] followed by a Belgium-residing Congolese, Caroline Kondé, in 2022.[1][4]

History

Initially, the Democratic Republic of the Congo was expected to make its debut in Miss Grand International in 2014 when a Manchester-based Congolese model, Anna Naise Gumanda, was announced as the country representative;[5][6] however, Naise did not join the pageant for unknown reasons.[7] Later in 2022, DR Congo was expected to participate in the Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia,[1][8] with a Congolese businessperson from Belgium, Caroline Kondé, as the representative.[1][2][3] Nevertheless, Caroline did not enter the international tournaments for undisclosed reasons.[9]
