Farrokhabad (Template:Lang-fa, also Romanized as Farrokhābād and Farrukhābād)[3] is the only village in, and the capital of, Farrokhabad Rural District of Meshkin Dasht District, Fardis County, Alborz province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 census, its population was 6,383, in 1,593 households, when it was in Mohammadabad Rural District of the Central District of Karaj County, Tehran province.[5]

In August 2010, Karaj County, Nazarabad County, and Savojbolagh County were separated from the province in the establishment of Alborz province.[6]

In July 2013, the city of Meshkin Dasht and other parts were separated from Karaj County in the establishment of Fardis County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Fardis as its capital.[4]

At the latest census in 2016, Farrokhabad's population was 5,407 people in 1,675 households.[2]
