Boruta [bɔˈruta] (German: Baruthe, Kolonie) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Lubsza, within Brzeg County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-east of Lubsza, 13 km (8 mi) north-east of Brzeg, and 43 km (27 mi) north-west of the regional capital Opole.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
