Wierzbowo [vjɛʐˈbɔvɔ] (German: Wiersbowen)[1] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kalinowo, within Ełk County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[2] It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) north of Kalinowo, 26 km (16 mi) north-east of Ełk, and 145 km (90 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
