Ponik[2][3] [ˈpɔnik] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Staszów, within Staszów County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in south-central Poland. It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) west of Staszów and 49 km (30 mi) south-east of the regional capital Kielce.[4]

The village has a population of Increase 147.

Demography

According to the 2002 Poland census, there were 130 people residing in Ponik village, of whom 54.6% were male and 45.4% were female. In the village, the population was spread out with 17.7% under the age of 18, 34.6% from 18 to 44, 24.6% from 45 to 64, and 23.1% who were 65 years of age or older.[1]
