Cove which the town of Lovište surrounds

Lovište is small seaside town located in a cove near the western tip of the Pelješac peninsula in the Dubrovnik-Neretva county in Croatia. It has a population of 244.[1] As it is situated at the very end of the peninsula, it was isolated before a road to the town was built.

Although small in size, it has recently drawn a number of tourists who prefer the isolated and calm nature of the town. The village was founded in 1885. The elderly refer to it by the name Lovišće (the official form Lovište has been standardized). During the summer months Lovište is popular with people seeking a quieter place to spend their summer vacations.
