Witharen is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is a part of the municipality of Ommen, and lies about 19 km south of Hoogeveen.
The village Witharen has a population of around 70.[1] The statistical area "Witharen", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 540.[1]
