Osielsko [ɔˈɕɛlskɔ] (German: Öseln)[1] is a village in Bydgoszcz County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland.[2] It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Osielsko. It lies 9 km (6 mi) north-east of Bydgoszcz.
The village has a population of 3,482.
History
Osielsko is mentioned in Ptolemy's Geography as Askaukalis.
Before World War I, Osielsko belonged to Kreis Bromberg in the Province of West Prussia, Prussia, Germany. Its German name was Osielsk.
