Baselios Lazarus III was the Maphrian of the East of the Syriac Orthodox Church, from 1709 until his death in 1713.

Biography

Iyawannis was born in the 17th century, and was ordained as Bishop of Manuriyya by the Patriarch Ignatius Abded Mshiho I in 1684. In 1709, Iyawannis was ordained maphrian by Ignatius Isaac Azar, upon which he assumed the Christian name Baselios. He administered the maphrianate for 4 years before his death in 1713.
