August Oberwelland (also known as August Storck) was a German entrepreneur and the founder of confectionery manufacturer August Storck.

Life

August Oberwelland was owner of farm Oberwellandhof in Westphalia. In 1903, he founded in Werther German company Werther’sche Zuckerwarenfabrik. Together with three workers he started his company, which produced sweet candies for Westfalen.[1] August Oberwelland was married. After First World War Hugo Oberwelland followed his father.
