Department of Infrastructure (Manitoba)
Manitoba Infrastructure is a department in the government of Manitoba which manages the province's infrastructure. It operates under the oversight of the Minister of Infrastructure. The department
"is responsible for the development of transportation policy and legislation, and for the management of the province’s vast infrastructure network."

The department was initially known as Public Works. The name was changed to Government Services in 1968 when the government expanded it to include providing common services for other government departments.[2] The department name was changed to Manitoba Infrastructure in 2016.[3]

In order that these program, or line, departments can operate more effectively and efficiently, the department of public works has been expanded to provide additional services common to all departments. Its new name is the Department of Government Services.
