Cymbacephalus is a genus of flatheads native to the western Pacific Ocean.

There are currently four recognized species in this genus:[1]

Cymbacephalus nematophthalmus (Günther, 1860) Fringe-eyed flathead Western Central Pacific: Philippines, Borneo, Singapore, Celebes, Papua New Guinea, New Georgia and Australia from the Northwest Shelf to Brisbane.
Cymbacephalus staigeri (Castelnau, 1875) Northern rock flathead Western Central Pacific: Christmas Island to northern Queensland, Gulf of Carpentaria, Darwin, Shark Bay, Australia and Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
