The Rocket Summer is the first EP produced by Bryce Avary in 2000. He was 16 when he recorded the album and it was sold on consignment at local record stores. All music, lyrics, and instruments written, arranged, and performed by Bryce Avary. Recorded by Deedle Lacour at Deedle's Room, Arlington, TX in Fall of 1999.[1]

The EP was re-released on November 14, 2006, under the title The Early Years EP.
