Nowjein town (Persian: شهر نوجين) is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Farashband County, Fars Province, Iran.[1] At the 2006 census, its population (including Nowjein, which was subsequently detached from the rural district and promoted to city status) was 6,839, in 1,526 families; excluding Nowjein, the population (as of 2006) was 3,843, in 754 families.[2] The rural district has 11 villages.
