The Ratanakosindra class gunboats were built in the UK for the Royal Thai Navy. Originally ordered in 1914, they were cancelled as a result of the First World War. They were reordered again in the 1920s from Hawthorn Leslie.[1]

The class consisted of two ships, Ratanakosindra and Sukothai. They displaced 1000 tons and were capable of 12 knots. They were armed with two 6 inch guns, and 4 12pounders.[2]
