Susan Varley is an illustrator of several children's books, including The Monster Bed.[1] However her most famous book is "Badger's Parting Gifts" - which she also wrote. She is married, with one daughter.
Biography
Susan Varley was born in 1961 in Blackpool, England. She studied graphic design and illustration at Manchester Polytechnic, and illustrated Badger's Parting Gifts. She won the Mother Goose Award in 1985 for the "most exciting newcomer to British children's book illustration."[1] Most of her illustrations are for Andersen Press.[2]
