Denise Voïta (1928–2008) was a Swiss painter, designer, lithographer, and tapestry designer.[1]

Biography

Voïta was born on March 14, 1928 in Marsens, Switzerland.[2] She studied at the Lausanne School of Fine Arts.[3] In the 1950s she was associated with the Concrete art movement, along with her colleagues Jean-Claude Hesselbarth [fr], Michel Gigon, Arthur Jobin [fr], and Antoine Poncet [fr].[3]

in 1962 and 1987 she participated in the International Biennial of Tapestry in Lausanne.[1]

In 2002 Voïta was awarded the Grand Prix of the Fondation Vaudoise pour la Culture.[4]

Voïta died on April 11, 2008 in Lausanne, Switzerland.[2]
