Gypsy Honeymoon: The Best of Kim Carnes
(1993)

Checkin' Out the Ghosts is the twelfth studio album by American singer Kim Carnes. It was released exclusively in Japan on March 21, 1991, by Zebrazone (distributed by Teichiku Records).[1]

Two years later, in 1993, the song "Gypsy Honeymoon" would be re-recorded and released as a single in Europe only. The track would be included on and become the title of an internationally released greatest hits album, Gypsy Honeymoon: The Best of Kim Carnes.

The album also contains a re-recording of the track "Hangin' On by a Thread (A Sad Affair of the Heart)", originally taken from Carnes' album Café Racers. "Independent Girl" was released as a mini CD single in Japan on November 1, 1991, containing the song "Mutual Attraction" as its B-side.[2]
