Mezquita were a Spanish rock band famous for having released Recuerdos de mi tierra (1979). The Gnosis community, having rated more than 700 Spanish records, currently holds it as one of the top three Spanish records ever released. It is a mix of flamenco-rock and progressive rock that's energetic, powerful and melodic from start to finish.[citation needed]

They released a second album, Califas del rock, in 1981.
