Mikkel Rønnow
Mikkel Rønnow (born 1974 in Denmark) is Musical Director and Theatrical Producer.
Since 1992 Mikkel Rønnow has been Musical Director for more than 20 Danish musical productions, including Chess (Danish premiere), West Side Story, Les Misérables, My Fair Lady, Copacabana (Scandinavian premiere), Grease, Cabaret, Tell Me on a Sunday, The Sound of Music and Jesus Christ Superstar.
In 2004 he produced the award nominated tour of Grease as well as leading the band.
Mikkel Rønnow's musical direction can be heard on six cast albums, including the internationally acclaimed complete recording of Chess from 2002 as well as Copacabana and Grease.
From 2001 to 2004 he was in partnership with Danish musical theatre star Stig Rossen. Their company, Rossen & Rønnow, produced Chess, Copacabana and Les Misérables and sold more than 250.000 tickets for the productions. From 2006 to 2007 he ran his own production company, Pygmalion, which produced a critically acclaimed international version of My Fair Lady.
Since 2004 Mikkel Rønnow has been giving master classes in Musical Theatre Performance at musical theatre schools in Sweden and Denmark.
Produces a new version of Chess to tour in Denmark in 2018.
