"Dancin' in the Ruins" is a song by American hard rock band Blue Öyster Cult, from the band's 1985 album, Club Ninja. The song was released as the band's 26th single the following year, and reached #9 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.[1] A music video was created for the song and was featured on MTV.

The single was the band's last to chart.

Background

"Dancin' in the Ruins" was meant to be a hit, and intentionally mimicked the fusion of hard rock and pop rock on the band's earlier hit single, Burnin' for You. Despite the efforts, the single failed to chart on the Billboard 100.[2]
