Doncaster is divided into and across three Parliamentary constituencies.

Since the 1997 General election and prior to the 2010 General election Doncaster was divided into 4 constituencies with most of the fourth constituency consisting of wards in Barnsley as the Mexborough area was added to the Barnsley East constituency to create the new constituency of Barnsley East and Mexborough however this constituency was abolished for the 2010 General election and the constituency of Barnsley East reestablished with the Mexborough area being readded to the Doncaster North constituency.
