Schizura apicalis, the plain schizura, is a species of moth in the family Notodontidae (the prominents).[1][2][3][4][5] It was first described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote and Coleman Townsend Robinson in 1866 and it is found in North America.[1]

The MONA or Hodges number for Schizura apicalis is 8009.[6]
