Moving In is an album by saxophonist Chris Potter.
Music and recording
Potter plays tenor sax on most of the tracks.[1] He switches to soprano sax for "Book of Kells" and the "A Kiss to Build a Dream On"[1] For "Chorale", he plays bass clarinet.[1] The title track is played in 5/4 time.[1]
Reception
The AllMusic reviewer wrote that "Concept-wise, this isn't Potter's boldest offering. But the playing is emotionally charged and technically superb."[1] The Chicago Tribune reviewer commented that Potter's album was "the boldest recording of his career".[2]
