Patoka is a rural community in the Hastings District and Hawke's Bay Region of New Zealand's North Island. It is located at base of the Kaweka Range and Kaweka Forest Park.[1]

The area has been used for pastoral sheep and dairy farming since the 19th century.[2] It promotes itself on its rolling countryside, high rainfall and free-draining paddocks.[3]

Education

Patoka School is a co-educational state primary school,[4] with a roll of 44 as of August 2024.[5][6]
