Niv Art Centre is an Art and Cultural Organisation active in New Delhi in India established by Shaji Mathew in the year 2008 which is concentrating in the area of arts and crafts.[1]. It is considered to be an advanced creative space dedicated to furthering art practice especially in new media art.[2]. It is running an independent film festival in Kerala called Kazhcha-Niv Indie film Fest(KNIFF)along with Kazhcha Chalachithra Vedi called (KNIFF) [3] Niv Art Centre provide opportunity for young artists to exhibit their art work and use the space for interaction [4]

Niv Art Centre has facilities for aspiring artists: an individual artist studio space, a gallery space for exhibitions, a media theatre for digital display, an amphi theatre and installation arena. The centre is providing studio space for selected artist for a period of two months residency.[5]. It has facilitated many art exhibitions for the young and upcoming artists.[6]

Art Exhibitions

Niv Art Centre has been facilitating space for art exhibitions to young and established artists across the country.[7]

Niv Art Centre also has an art gallery which provide space for art exhibitions.[8] It had exhibited works of many resident artists in Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat centre, New Delhi. It has also conducted art exhibitions of works by international and Indian artists in association with Lalit Kala Akademi.[9][10]

Art Residency

Niv Art Centre is hosting art residencies for young and upcoming artistes from artistes across the globe.[11] The artist-in-residence programme helps artists, performing artistes, academicians, curators, and creative people [12]. Apart from artists from within the country, Niv Art Centre also cater space for young and upcoming artistes abroad [13] It gives opportunity to artists from within the country and abroad to stay and work
