Vasuki Murugesan was elected to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from the Karur constituency in the 1996 elections. She was a candidate of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party. She was an arrogant leader. Sources reveal that she was plotted to kill and died in an accident on her way back to Karur from Coimbatore after a short meeting with the then deputy Chiefminister of TN MK Stalin at the Coimbatore Airport.[1]
