Mount Olivet Cemetery is a cemetery in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was established by the Mount Olivet Cemetery Act, an Act of Congress passed in 1874.[1] The first use of the cemetery was in 1877. The cemetery land originally encompassed the SE corner of the intersection of 500 South Street and 1300 East Street. Portions of the original property have been diverted to other uses; the present cemetery lies some 300 feet east of that intersection.[2]
