Ashok Ramji Wooike

Ashok Ramji Wooike is a member of the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represents the Ralegaon Assembly Constituency. He belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party.[1] In June, 2015, he was nominated on the state level committee that selects awards to individuals and organisations in the field of tribal welfare.[2] His victory was amongst the five seats won by the BJP, that resulted in the Indian National Congress (INC) not being able to win a single seat in Yavatmal district once its stronghold.[3] In 2009 he had unsuccessfully contested as an independent candidate, losing to Vasant Purke of the Indian National Congress.[4]
