Commando is a role-playing game published by Simulations Publications, Inc. in 1979.
Description
Commando is a military system of commando operations from World War II to the present.[1] The game is primarily a board wargame with secondary role-playing rules (24-pages) for character creation, skills, cooperative fire teams, and hero characters.[1]
Eric Goldberg designed Commando as a man-to-man tactical combat game featuring character creation and skills.[2]: 99
Publication history
Commando was designed by Eric Goldberg, and published by Simulations Publications, Inc. in 1979 as a boxed set containing a 48-page book and a 24-page book, 12 maps, a charts folder, and dice.[1]
Reception
Commando won the H.G. Wells award for Best Roleplaying Rules of 1979.[1][3][4]
