This is an old revision of this page, as edited by 101.50.91.131 (talk) at 13:52, 1 February 2020 (The source obviously doesn't mention that KABUL shahi were the 'earliest' dynasty. Mention is only being made to the wall that was built in the 8 century.). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

Map of the Kingdom of Caboul, published in 1838 by the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge. The name Caboul was attributed to most of current territories of Afghanistan.

Kabulistan (Pashto/Persian: کابلستان) is a historical regional name referring to the territory that is centered on present-day Kabul Province of Afghanistan.[1][2] It included the land as far as Peshawar and Swabi in what is now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

In many Greek and Latin sources, particularly editions of Ptolemy's Geography, the name of the region is given as Cabolitae (Καβολῖται). European writers in the 18th to the 20th centuries sometimes referred to Durrani Empire as the Kingdom of Caboul.[3]
