The 1977 Nicholls State Colonels football team represented Nicholls State University in the 1977 NCAA Division II football season. The Colonels were led by fourth-year head coach Bill Clements. They played their home games at John L. Guidry Stadium and were a member of the Gulf South Conference. They finished the season 4–7, 2–5 in Gulf South play.
