Kartika Rane is an Indian television and film actress.

She studied sociology at Sophia College, Mumbai and since then entered into modelling and tele-advertising. She appeared in B. R. Chopra's comedy countdown show, Ek Se Badkar Ek. She was in the 1996 Hindi film Yash. Appeared in television roles in 2001 television shows Kangan and Hum Pardesi Ho Gaye.[1]

Rane is native from Goa. Her uncle is Pratapsingh Rane, the ex-Chief Minister of Goa.

Kartika appeared in number of commercials for leading advertising agencies in 1990s, like McCann Erickson, O&M, ICI, Lintas, HTA, Chaitra Leo Burnett. The products she has advertised include Forhans, Dulux, Fair & Lovely, Rin and Vim.

Most of the serials she did went on to become moderate-to-big hits. From ‘Captain Vyom’ to ‘Tere Mere Sapne’, from ‘Gubare’ to ‘Nyaay’ and from ‘Janam’ to ‘Hum Pardesi Ho Gaye’ and ‘Kangan’, Kartika Rane has acted with established directors.
