Kwabena Adjei
Dr. Kwabena Adjei(1943-2019)[1] was a member of parliament for Biakoye Constituency in the Oti region of Ghana and the former chairman of the National democratic Congress.[2][3]
Early Life and Education
Kwabena Adjei was born on the 9th day of March, 1943 at Nkonya Ntsumuru in the Oti region.[4]
He attended the University of Ghana,Legon and graduated with a BA (Hons) Psychology in 1970. In 1973 and 1978, he had his PhD (Research Methods & Statistics in Psychology) and MBA from the University of Strathclyde and University of Ghana respectively.[2][4]
Politics
He was a key founding member of the National Democratic Congress.
He was the member of parliament for the Biakoye constitueny from 1993 to 2004.[5]
He served as minister for Minister for Lands & Forestry, Food & Agriculture and Parliamentary Affairs under presidency of J.J Rawlings.[6]
He was elected Chairman of the National Democratic Congress in 2005, he succeeded Obed Asamoah.[7]
Employment
He was an Educationist.
He taught Psychology and sociology in University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, University of Maiduguri.
