The 121st Anti-aircraft Artillery Regiment "Ravenna" (Italian: 121° Reggimento Artiglieria Controaerei "Ravenna") is a anti-aircraft artillery regiment of the Italian Army. Originally founded as a field artillery regiment the unit transferred to the anti-aircraft specialty on 15 June 1953. Today the regiment is based in Bologna and Rimini in the Emilia-Romagna and administratively assigned to the Anti-aircraft Artillery Command.[3]

As of 2019 the 121st Anti-aircraft Artillery Regiment "Ravenna" consists of:[4]

  • Regimental Command, in Bologna
    • Command and Logistic Support Battery, in Bologna
    • Signal Company, in Bologna
    • 1st VSHORAD Group, in Bologna
      • 1st VSHORAD Battery
      • 2nd VSHORAD Battery
      • 3rd VSHORAD Battery
      • Fire and Technical Support Battery
    • 2nd SHORAD Group, in Rimini[5]
      • 1st SHORAD Battery
      • 2nd SHORAD Battery
      • Fire and Technical Support Battery

The Command and Logistic Support Battery fields the following sections: C3 Section, Transport and Materiel Section, Medical Section, and Commissariat Section. The 1st VSHORAD Group is equipped with Stinger man-portable air-defense systems, while the 2nd SHORAD Group is equipped with Skyguard "Aspide" surface-to-air missile systems, which will be replaced with CAMM-ER systems in the near future.
